Then said  Jesus to those Jews which believed  on him, If ye continue  in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and  the truth shall make you  free St John 8:31

This July 4, the nation will be celebrating its birthday. We will be celebrating our deceleration of independence that was July 4, 1776. Over two thousand years ago God sent his son that the whole world might be free.

As we think about the freedom we have in this nation let us also think about the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. Rom 6:18 and being made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness. No longer are we servants of sin and subject to its wages. Now we are servants to God and receivers of God’s great reward. Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Let us also pray for those who have not received this freedom.

God Bless America

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah. Isa 55:

How many times have I believed an opinion of own or someone else's opinion? How many times have I taken an action in that I was right only to find out that I was wrong? How many times have I heard philosophies and theologies that were based on an individual’s love for their fellow human beings?  And with all of our good intentions, people of good will and love for all have developed many different ideas of what was right and wrong. A person with all sincerity and love will declare one thing as moral and just while, another just as sincere and with the same love declare that same thing as immoral and unjust.  In realizing that we all are the same born in sin in iniquity and our salvation is through Jesus alone, we all are subject to these like passions. How then can I or anyone know what is moral and what is immoral?   In order to have is not important for us to follow our hearts, our feelings or our education but we must follow the word of God.

 2 cor3:18

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. When we came to God we all had to come from the same place; we came from the position of sin. God takes away our sins Isa 1:18 Asa “Come now, and let us reason saith Jehovah: though your sins as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” He transforms us from what we were to a new creation, from sinner to saint. We are transformed by His Grace into a new creation not born of the flesh but born of his spirit. And the transforming power is continuously changing us from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord. By the grace of God all believers can say I am not where I want to be but I am not where I use to be. And praise God I am on my way to where He is transforming me to be.
